A type of new media that is not fully developed is/exist is artificial intelligence. This is the idea that human activity can be re-created with machines/robots to simulate the actions of humans. This can lessen the work load on human as the machine can be doing the job efficiently as programed. Companies that have started using some sort of artificial intelligence are Apple and Amazon with Siri and Alexa. This only touches on artificial intelligence as it's only voices that can do very basic tasks like turning on music, adding an alarm to wake up or searching the web for an answer to your question. A major reason this is not fully developed is because researches widely disagree on many issues about where artificial intelligence should be headed and what the common goal is.
Artificial intelligence is actually what I wrote my term paper on and I couldn't agree with you more. Siri and Alexa are just the beginning of AI integrated technology and I think we will soon see AI in just about every type of media we use. Exciting and crazy at the same time!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree, artificial intelligence is not a new idea and is still being developed but there is no saying where the future will take it. What we have done with artificial intelligence thus far is impressive but it will certainly develop further.
